Who are you and what is your role at Optima?
I am a Recruitment Consultant at Optima and I focus on the Quality market mainly in the North - West. I like to know what makes my candidates tick and what is important to them, so I can be confident enough to find them the right role and really make a difference in their lives. I recently had a bunch of flowers delivered from one of my candidates to thank me for finding their dream job and it really did sum up exactly why I love what I do.
Why did you join Optima?
I joined Optima because I had reached a point in my career where I wanted a change of industry. All I had ever known was Healthcare and with the aftermath of COVID it didn’t feel like the right career path for me anymore. Being given the opportunity here just felt right for me and it’s nice to be involved with a team that makes it very “family feel” and being given the training to progress and develop and being pushed outside your comfort zone and realising you can do things your mind might be telling you that you can’t.
What do you like doing outside of work?
I am a bit of a social butterfly and love socialising with the girls and booking holidays with them. I also have an amazing family that I spend a lot of time with whether that be walks or just going out for nice meals. When I do have free time by myself (Which isn’t often) I like to shop whether it be vintage fairs or just a trip to the Trafford Centre because you can never treat yourself too much, right?
