Process Engineer
This job has been filled.
Fancy a proper 'blank canvas' type role where you'd have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the process improvement functions in a growing business?
You'd be coming in as a Process improvement Engineer in a company part of a wider entity which supplies the MOD with technological systems and solutions, military vehicles and defence equipment.
The role will drive to improve a variety of Operational processes in the business including Sales & HR, so you'll have a vast amount of exposure and responsibilities while also making sure that the changes stick and are followed through properly to start with.
There are really good progression opportunities within the business given their current position in the market and for this role in particular you'll get the opportunity to expand into different avenues as you get more experienced. Part of this will include Quality and getting involved in updating the current QMS (currently in sharepoint) in preparation for the company growth.
This role will be a stand-alone function so as I mentioned earlier it's a great chance for you to have control of what direction this role will lead to for your future self. Resistance to change will be unlikely but you'll need to be confident enough in your approach to ensure the changes are rolled out and maintained effectively and the senior leaders will be supporting you each step of the way.
They're quite easy going about your background but it'd be nice to see someone who is looking for a long-term role with the potential to progress in the upcoming years. As this site is more project led and don't actually manufacture anything they're open to people from both manufacturing and non-manufacturing backgrounds and have also said that defence experience isn't essential.
The culture of the place seems great, people tend to stay and there have been some exciting additions of recent which look as though the business is really benefiting from them, although there are some pretty strong characters there given the industry, so you'd need to be comfortable in that type of environment. They have flexible/hybrid working and have decent benefits sat behind basic salaries as well.
For this role, you'd be based at their site in Bristol and salary would fall around £30-40k mark though I'd see that growing as the business and your responsibilities do - get in touch to find out more.
