I am a highly motivated and driven individual who is fully engaged on progressing my career, An excellent communicator with both customers and co-workers. I am mechanical apprentice trained with 6 years of Quality Experience in the automotive industry including experience at a Senior Level. Proficient in problem solving and root cause analysis with the use of recognised tools such as 5 Why and Ishikawa diagrams and take pride on my Divergent thinking approach to problem solving.

Why are they a good candidate?

  • Excellent communicator to achieve the best results from either direct resources (such as technicians) or either indirect resources (Such as the Engineering department)
  • Experience in Quality management systems and maintaining internal standard accreditations such as IATF 16949
  • A very good understanding of mechanical engineering.
  • Having a good amount of customer facing experience, Specifically with Larger OEM’s such as CTT, Borgwarner, Jaguar Landrover. Entrusted to speak directly with customer contacts and build confidence and relationships for many years
  • The ability to generate complex CMM programs with good knowledge of measurement systems.

3 greatest professional achievements:

  1. Being challenged to work as a Senior Engineer in South Carolina to direct the team and drive down customer concerns and CONQ. In under 3 months clear progression was made in the unit to better control the products and maintain process capability with the use of implementing automatically generated offsets from the CMM’s which link to the CNC’s, to reduce PPM and ultimately reduce CONQ. This was reduced from an average of $140,000 a month to under $30,000

  2. Being handed a problematic manufacturing line which produced high volume and high accuracy Major Engine components for Jaguar Land rover. With set goals and targets and being able to exceed those targets with the team. Reduction in customer concerns from 37 in H1 2018 to 6 in H2 2018, Reduction in PPM and reduction in Assembly Failures from 40% to 2% by working with Suppliers.

  3. Being given the opportunity to mentor an Apprentice into a quality role coming from the   apprenticeship background and seeing him progress to become a Quality Engineer and continue to succeed in that role.

3 most important things about next move:

  1. Good company vision to drive for improvements and change to suit the business and market.

  2. A route for progression in my career.

  3. Employee engagement and feedback.
