Who are you and what is your role at Optima?
I’m Grace and I’m a Consultant at Optima. I’ve always loved speaking to people and getting to know what makes them tick. My role provides me with the opportunity to do this and allows me to help them to take the next step in their career, which is extremely rewarding.
Why did you join Optima?
I joined Optima after hearing about its extensive training and onboarding platform, which I felt would set me up really well and provide me with a real platform to develop my career in recruitment. The relaxed and flexible working environment were obvious additional perks but, ultimately, it’s a business that feels strongly about developing its people and about playing a significant part in the continued growth of the Northern Powerhouse, and I wanted the opportunity to be a part of its journey.
What do you like doing outside of work?
Outside of work, my boyfriend and I enjoy attending gigs and festivals on a regular basis (almost too regularly for our bank accounts) and we throw in the odd trip or holiday where we can. I also have 2 dogs which take up quite a lot of my time and we often go for walks around the local reservoirs and lakes.
