Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer who’s looking to expand their industry knowledge?

Do you want to gain exposure to the actual products to help you to get a better understand?

Well, this role can offer you the chance to be exposed to an expanding offshore environment.

You’ll be working on projects from cradle to grave from initial sales drawing, through to the detailing stage and would also be responsible for the bill of materials , risk assessments etc. To do the design work you’d be using Inventor. As you can imagine with the industry, you’d have to consider the wave heights and plenty of other components, but you’ll have plenty of support in the early stages if you haven’t had exposure to this industry yet. There’s a team of 6, so plenty of people to lean on.

The main product you’d be designing would be cranes, so if you have worked with heavy fabrication and in the welding environment you are already in the right spot to pursue this role.

You’d be looking at a salary of around £45k for this position. They pay overtime too and are willing to embrace the hybrid working model, so once you’ve met all the team and are confident enough to run things on your own.

If this sounds like it could be your next challenge give me a shout on 0161 250 3526 or feel free to pop me a message.
