How many times have you heard about a Quality Management system which is just a certificate on the wall? It scrapes through the audit, but it isn’t driving change and innovation in the business. A bit like passing your driving test but not really being able to drive, trust me I know.
 
For a business that drives environmental change and improvement you’d think their Quality Management system would reflect that.  Well to be honest you’d be wrong, but that’s where you come in.
 
Are you ready to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in and take control of the quality management system, or lack thereof?
 
Confidence and strong communication skills will be put to the test here. This quality system isn’t going to sort itself out, nor is embedding a quality conscious culture so if you're looking to coast for a bit this really isn't the one for you. You’ll be involved with the system from supplier quality, in house manufacturing and customer relations. There's scope for expansion into Health and Safety and Environmental management in the 12 months too - if you have time.
 
For now I see the salary falling in the region of £35-£40K, though I'd imagine this would be revisited when the your time and influence on the business grows.
