Have you got a knack for maintaining existing relationships but also developing new ones?

As the UK and Ireland Sales Manager, you have the opportunity to do both. You’d be responsible for around 70% ‘farming’, so will need to have great interpersonal skills and be a strong communicator (your customers are spread globally). 30% of the role is ‘hunting’, so having the drive and skills to develop new business is a must. The company typically win new business by speed of Delivery, Quality and Customer Service, so there are plenty of options in that respect.

You’ll have full support from a really strong technical team, so there’s more emphasis on having commercial experience rather than being technically capable.

The role is home based, with the expectation of customer site visits 3 or 4 times a week. The main customer bases are Scotland, Belfast, Stoke and Newcastle, but there are others all spread throughout the UK – but don’t worry, you get a car/car allowance.

You’ll need to come from a background either working with, or supplying into OEMs and have good knowledge of how they operate.

Salary is around £60k + car/allowance, although there may be a bit of flex for the right person.
