Are you struggling to find the right path for your career now you’ve left Uni?  Maybe you started Uni and didn’t really take to it during lockdown?  Or have you started out in a role that you can’t really see yourself being able to grow and develop in the way you’d imagined when you took it?

In either case, you’re sat there wondering whether it’s possible to find something that’ll challenge and develop you as well as giving a really rewarding long-term career?

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you’ll join us with little to no knowledge of what recruitment even is. That’s without question the best place to start - no misconceptions, no bad habits and a real drive to succeed is all you’ll need for this… There’s no absolute guarantees in this game but in 10 years I’ve never seen someone with the right attitude fail at it & there’s no reason for you to be the first!

Now I could bang on about fast merit-based promotions, incentive trips, eye watering commission payments and flexible working options but, honestly, that’s only a thing if you’re any good.

Instead, here’s a few reasons you might not want to apply:

  • There’s a lot to learn & it won’t “click” overnight for you:  This might be the hardest thing to wrangle with. It’s a bit learning curve & you’ll quit if you’re a quitter.
  • Even when it does click, the sales cycle is slow compared to most “sales” roles:  If you need regular gratification by seeing 10 sales a day go through this isn’t going to give you that.
  • You’re wholly responsible for how well you do: If you’re the kind of person who’s always got an excuse for why they don’t own a yacht yet, please don’t apply.
  • We operate a “work when & where you want” policy: That might sound good but it means you’ll need to be grown up enough manage your own time.
  • To be good you’ll have to get right out of your comfort zone: The first 6 - 9 months can be a slog if you’re not the kind of person who’s willing to put the work in.
Right, if you’re still reading it’s probably because you’re not afraid of a challenge.  You probably still don’t actually know what you’ll really be doing & you’ll be worried about the fact that you won’t be able to just walk in the door and be amazing at it.

That’s where we come in.

First, as part of the interview process, we’ll give you an opportunity to learn more about the job and our way of going about it.  We’ll walk through the values that drive our business decisions and even give you a taste of what’s to come.

All being well after that your first 12 weeks will involve an extensive but varied induction training course and our ongoing one to one and team training will give you all of the tools you need to hit get your head around things.  Most people get promoted within the first 6-9 months and that’s where it starts to get really interesting.

The office (which we’ll only insist upon you using when you’re very early on in your career with us) is based in central Rochdale and despite the commission scheme being totally uncapped you’ll probably earn about £25k - £30k in your first year.

If you’re still not put off give me a call & let’s go through things together in more detail.
