I have a career history in Mechanical Engineering Design, Project Management (dealing directly with customers and suppliers) and Production / Manufacturing Engineering. I am also a Certified SolidWorks Expert and proficient in using Autodesk Inventor.
3 greatest professional achievements:
- Project managed / designed a set of complementary heatshields (14 off) for a leading OEM, worth £3 Million in annual turnover (BMW Mini, and Cooper S)
- Project managed the rebuild of 3 Parpas 90 HP / 2000 - 5 axis machining centres for McLaren Formula 1, redesigning the guarding to meet current safety standards and integrated a swarf management system
- Designed a new product that converts the look and feel of the inside of a conservatory to a more expensive Orangery. Also specified and procured the required production equipment along with designing and purchasing a cropping tool to suit the two steel rolling used in the construction of the product. An upgrade that is now specified on 50% of sales. With patented design features (Livinroom)
